This Grade II Georgian Cottage is the second of four built onto the unique and well-preserved C13th Northgate to an C11th castle. The ruined castle itself, on high ground overlooking the valley of the river Nar, is an English Heritage site, as is the ruined Norman Cluniac Priory, the equal to many of Britain's most celebrated religious heritage sites.
